Why Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy uses the properties of water to provide therapeutic treatment and pain relief. Hydrotherapy has been used in humans since ancient times and has been used for race horses and in the greyhound industry for many years. It is now widely regarded and used for dogs in general.

It is a good alternative to weight bearing exercise and helps to speed up post operative recovery and slow down the progression of some degenerative conditions.

Hydrotherapy is used to treat common orthopaedic conditions such as

  • Elbow and Hip Dysplasia,
  • Cruciate disease,
  • Osteoarthritis,
  • Patella Luxation,
  • Osteochondritis Dissecans (OCD)
  • Fractures
  • Legge Calve Perthes.

Also, some common neurological conditions

  • Wobblers,
  • Spondylosis,
  • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
  • Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE)
  • Chronic Degenerative Radiculomyelopathy (CDRM).

it also helps with

  • General joint stiffness,
  • Soft tissue injuries,
  • Obesity
  • General mental wellbeing
  • General fitness of your dog.

Testimonals:

Sally was calm, patient and caring in helping my nervous dog begin her hydrotherapy treatment as recommend by our vet. We never thought Bessie would ever get in the pool but Sally knew exactly how to help and she now loves going for her swimming sessions. Sally is hugely knowledgable and I can highly recommend her services. Thank you Sally

Would not hesitate to recommend this company. Our dog was given the very best hydrotherapy, very caring & professional. Customer Service was excellent. Thank you.

I have a Golden Retriever with hip dysplasia. His hydrotherapy has been invaluable for keeping him strong and agile. Sally is easy to talk to, keeps us informed on his progress and adapts his programme as needed. Highly recommended.
